Female Foundations Pelvic Health Physical Therapy
Our Story

Dr. Jaylene Checchin built Female Foundations around a simple belief: women deserve to feel seen, heard, and fully supported in their health. She discovered pelvic health during her doctoral training at Northwestern University and began her career in Chicagoland. Upon moving to Tennessee, she realized how often women’s care was rushed and impersonal; so she created something different. Every visit at Female Foundations is one-on-one, tailored, evidence-based, and rooted in partnership. Jaylene treats pelvic health exclusively, which makes her a true specialist: pregnancy and postpartum recovery, labor preparation, leakage, pelvic and tailbone pain, prolapse, painful intercourse, endometriosis, interstitial cystitis, and recovery after urogyn or breast cancer surgery. If you have ever been told that discomfort is just part of being a woman, this is a place that takes it seriously and helps you feel like yourself again.
I wanted to create a place where women feel seen, heard, and fully supported in their health.
